
JOGMEC is a Japanese governmental organization that collaborates with resource rich countries and mining companies at various phases of mining projects through geological surveys, technological development, financial support, stockpiling, environmental protection, and gathering information to secure stable supplies of mineral and energy resources.
Since the opening of the Geologic Remote Sensing Center in Botswana in 2008, JOGMEC has been working on technology transfer in satellite image analysis for mineral resource exploration for the member states of SADC.
Furthermore, since opening of Johannesburg office in February, 2019 JOGMEC have been collaborating better with the Botswana Center, while strengthening the relationships with African countries.
