KALAHARI KEY MINERAL EXPLORATION
Kalahari Key Mineral Exploration (Pty) Ltd has three exploration licences for base and precious metals in southern Botswana, covering the central and eastern Jwaneng-Makopong Shear/Feeder Zone of the Bushveld-related Molopo Farms Complex, targeting nickel-PGM-bearing massive sulphide deposits similar to the Voisey’s Bay nickel deposit. Exploration to date has involved a complete review of existing geological, geophysical and geochemical data followed by an airborne high-resolution TDEM survey along the feeder zone. The data were interpreted to identify seventeen conductive targets which were further surveyed using highly sensitive SQUID (Super Conducting Quantum Interference Device) sensors and ultra-powerful HPTX transmitter. From this, drill sites were positioned on eight high priority targets. Botswana is a mining-friendly country. The licences are 50km SSW of Jwaneng and in close proximity to the major Trans-Kalahari Highway. The exploration team comprises geologists and geophysicists having a collective experience of over 100 years in Botswana.
