African Quartz is a vertically integrated worldclass company that will mine and process Quartz (Si02) into High Purity Quartz (HPQ) and produce Silicon that is used to manufacture semiconductor wafers and Photovoltaic cells and modules. African Quartz will then further beneficiate Silicon to manufacture high quality products such as semiconductor wafers and photovoltaic cells and modules which are used to generate electricity for end-user customers such as Eskom, residential homes and commercial businesses to reduce costs for them. Semiconductor wafers are a thin slice of semiconductor substance, like crystalline silicon, used in electronics for the making of integrated circuits which is used in the manufacturing of smart cell phone, televisions. computers, etc.
